Mission Statement

The Human Resources Department provides all aspects of human resources, labor relations, and benefit administration support to all County departments and their employees. The legal mandate of the Human Resources Department is to administer New York Civil Service Law. This function reaches out to all public funded entities within St. Lawrence County except for those within the City of Ogdensburg. The Department’s mission is to accurately and consistently assist our customers in whatever way we can and to assist all county departments in managing all aspects of human resources administration.
