Description Senators Wright and Meier have earmarked money to place 1 dry hydrant in each fire district in St. Lawrence County. The St. Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) is responsible for surveying the site chosen by the fire department for the dry hydrant, applying for necessary permits, designing the dry hydrant, and participating in the installation of the dry hydrant. Currently, 64 sites have been evaluated and the District has received additional money to continue this program. |
