Description SWCD offers Technical Assistance to the public as well as private contractors. Topics most often requested for assistance on include soils maps and information, USGS Topographic maps, National Wetlands Inventory maps, NYS Freshwater Wetlands maps, and information on pond construction. SWCD is non-regulatory but can assist you with what permits are needed for a project, who to contact regarding a project, and if the soils are appropriate for the project, among other things. In the last few years, SWCD has handled approximately 3,200 requests for assistance per year. |
